How it started

The spark

It started on an autumn morning at a local craft show. My husband and I were browsing the handmade goods when a sweet, earthy scent drew us to a booth filled with colorful rustic soaps. I picked up a lavender-honey bar, turned to him, and said, “I think we should switch to all-natural soaps and lotions at home.” He smiled and said, “Let's do it.”

The research and craft

Within weeks, our kitchen became a makeshift laboratory. We wanted the best products we could make for our own skin and our family, so we researched nourishing butters, essential oils, goat's milk, jojoba oil, and tallow.

After dozens of trial batches, burnt fingers, and scent tests, we found our signature recipes. The house filled with eucalyptus, lavender, citrus, and vanilla, and our lotions came out rich, creamy, and nongreasy.

Sharing the love

As the holidays approached, we wrapped our creations in brown paper and twine and gave them to family and friends. We only wanted to share something personal and made with love, but everyone had the same advice: “You guys are crazy if you don't start selling these.”

And just like that, our little kitchen hobby turned into a dream.
